The Global Filipinos Australia (GFA) of New South Wales will be holding the inaugural "Global Filipino Youth Awards - Recognition in Motion" on July 14, 2008 at the NSW Parliament in Sydney, Australia.

     The organization seeks to encourage and honor the efforts of Filipino youth who have achive excellence in their chosen fields of endeavor. Anyone with Filipino ancestry, aged 16 to 35 years, in the following fields: academe/education, arts and entertainment, business, comunity service, goverment, journalism/media, sports, and technology, may be nominated. The awards search is being held in connection with the Sydney hosting of World Youth Day.
