President Aquino Awards 29 Overseas Filipinos and Friends
President Benigno S. Aquino III will honor 29 distinguished overseas Filipino individuals, organizations and friends at the Awarding Ceremonies in Malacanan on December 5, 2012.
The tradition of searching for exemplary achievers who have shown excellence in their professions and active involvement in support services for Filipino communities worldwide was initiated by former President Corazon C. Aquino. Since 1991, this biennial recognition has been conferred on 338 awardees from 44 countries and serves to highlight the celebration of the Month of Overseas Filipinos in December.

Two Fil-Aussie websites selected Best Interactive Media in Migration Advocacy and Media Awards
Twelve media entries composed of print articles and books, film and documentaries, websites and blog, and advertisement are this year's Migration Advocacy and Media (MAM) Award winners, the Commission on Filipinos Overseas announced last night (November 29).

CFO launches Online Pre-registration for Filipino Emigrants
The Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) launched its Online Pre-Registration for Filipino emigrants through – www.pre-registration.cfo.gov.ph on December 3, 2012. Filipino emigrants are those who leave the country to settle permanently in another.

Congratulations 2012 Migration Advocacy and Media Awards Winners!

12 media entries composed of print articles and books, film and documentaries, websites and blog, and advertisement are this year's Migration Advocacy and Media (MAM) Award winners. Now on its second year, the MAM Awards, which was conceived in 2011 by the Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) in line with the Celebration of the Month of Overseas Filipinos and International Migrants Day in the Philippines, aim to recognize the significant role of the media in raising public awareness on issues related to Filipino migration, the challenges of migration and development, and advocate the cause and promote a positive image of Filipinos overseas.
