AIM signs MOA with the Commission on Filipinos Overseas

The Asian Institute of Management (AIM) and Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) signed a Memorandum of Agreement last March 27, 2013, allowing for collaborative research on fostering the development benefits of international migration in the Philippines, including an impact evaluation of an enhanced Pre Departure Orientation Seminar (PDOS) for migrants. The research project titled “Harnessing the Development Benefits of International Migration: A Randomized Evaluation of Enhanced Pre-Departure Orientation Seminars for Migrants from the Philippines” will track 3,000 pairs of migrants and their families for 2 years to evaluate the effectiveness of an enhanced PDOS in increasing migrant’s financial literacy, engaging them in diaspora activities and improving their welfare abroad. The international research team consists of faculty members from the Asian Institute of Management, the Kiel Institute for the World Economy (Germany), St. Gallen University (Switzerland), the University of Michigan (USA) and the World Bank. The project is funded by the International Initiative for Impact Evaluation (3ie).

The Land Bank of the Philippines in partnership with the Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO), launched on March 19, 2013 the Kiddie Katapat Savings Program (KKISs), at the Philippine National School (PNS) in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

The Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) has again entered into a partnership with the Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP), this time for its new initiative called, The Kiddie Katapat Savings Program.
The Kiddie Katapat Savings (with its easily remembered acronym of "KKiSs") was launched last December 2011 during the Child and Youth Finance International Regional Meeting for Asia and the Pacific held at the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas.
