IACAT co-­Chair Justice Secretary Leila de Lima leads partnership with Broadcast Industry Stalwarts in Fighting Human Trafficking

Key officials of the Inter-­Agency Council Against Trafficking (IACAT) and the Board of Directors of the Kapisan ng mga Brodkasters sa Pilipinas (KBP) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on May 23, 2012 during a thanksgiving lunch held at the Hyatt Hotel in Manila. Led by Justice Secretary Leila M. de Lima and KBP Chair Herman Basbano, the MOA signing sealed the KBP and IACAT partnership in aggressively pursuing the education and awareness campaign against human trafficking. Also present were representatives from IACAT concerned agency partners -­-­ the Department of Interior & Local Government (DILG), Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) and the Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO).
