Cancellation Flyer


The Commission on Filipinos Overseas announces with regret the cancellation of the Regional Summit of Filipinos in the Diaspora in Middle East and Africa (MEA) scheduled in Abu Dhabi, October 16-18, 2014. The decision was mutually agreed upon by the organizers due to reasons beyond their control. (Please see attached flyer.) ​

​We would like to thank everyone for your support and interest to participate in the Regional Summit.  We also extend our sincerest apologies for any inconvenience this cancellation has caused.

​However, we would like you to note that the 3rd Global Summit of Filipinos in the Diaspora: “Vision and Action for the Filipino Diaspora 2015 and beyond” in Manila is on 25-27 February 2015.

Filipinos Honored in an Andorran Stamp


Three children of Filipino origin are featured in a postage stamp in Andorra, immortalizing the economic and cultural contribution of Filipinos to the tiny European state.

The children – Veronica, Dylan and Von Mart - appear in the stamp wearing traditional Filipino costumes. Ninety thousand copies of this stamp have been printed by the Spanish national postal service Correos. The stamps, which can only be bought in Andorra, costs 92 Euro cents or about P59.

Overseas Voters May Now Register at CFO-Manila

Biometric recording is done in all new voter registration to cleanse the electoral process.

The 2016 Philippine Elections is coming. As part of the government’s extensive campaign to encourage migrants to register and vote as overseas voters for the upcoming elections, the Commission on Filipinos Overseas, Commission on Elections and the Department of Foreign Affairs opened the second Overseas Voters Registration Center at CFO Manila on July 21, 2014. The first Registration Center was launched last June 2014 at the Office of Consular Affairs, ASEANA Business Park in Pasay City.
